Riding Lessons
We have designed a basic horsemanship program geared towards the beginning student. We teach basic horsemanship skills as well as horse care and horse ownership. Our program is designed to give the novice or beginner a good working knowledge of horses and how to care for them. Each student is encouraged to try different riding disciplines before determining which is best suited for them. As always safety is stressed throughout each lesson.
Lessons are one on one instruction allowing the student to gain the most out of each lesson. The Basic Lesson program consists of one, one hour lesson per week for 10 weeks in the basic horsemanship program. More advanced instruction follows the same schedule after completion of the basic program and is structured towards each students horse goals.
Also during the lesson season there are student work days. These work sessions allow the beginner to get hands on experience in stall cleaning, tack maintenance and care and maintenance of the horse's living space.
Students also take field trips to various horse events in the city area giving them introduction to the wide variety of horse disciplines available.
Lesson season begins in April and goes through October each year.
Call for availability of lesson times. The lesson schedule is set up in March with preference of lesson times given to returning students.
